An elegant family home in an established neighbourhood with handy schools and recreation facilities: DaVinci Homes’ new Custom 77 show home is all this, in the last corner of Coventry Hills to be developed.

The Custom 77 offers 2,309-square feet in a two-storey, front-attached-garage home. It has three bedrooms upstairs and a walkout basement with up to two more bedrooms on the lower level.

A wide, covered front entrance to the side of the home provides a gracious entrance, while the foyer has a generous walk-in closet to the left to store outdoor gear. Next to the closet is a powder room.

The home then opens into the great room, anchored by an impressive marble tile fireplace surround. The horizontal fireplace is offset to the right in a rectangular inset, set on a swath of whimsical, circular marble tiles cutting through white subway tile.

The great room’s space is generous for entertaining family and friends.

The dining nook is set in a slight alcove next to the windows between the great room and the kitchen. It is a sunny space with large windows, dressed up with a chandelier.

The kitchen is truly a beautiful space, a place where a cooking show could easily be filmed. The central island has a granite top in a medium hue with warm browns and creams. The gas range is located here, with a modern rectangular stainless steel hood fan set overhead.

The sink is immediately behind the stove, in front of large windows, with spacious granite counters on either side for further workspace. Five-panel cabinets in white, some with glass insets, reach to the ceiling. A large walk-in pantry in the corner offers plenty of space for storing all the needs of a large family.

The back of the home is bright, with wide windows and sliding glass doors from the kitchen onto the back deck. Past the kitchen, in its own space, is a room that could either be used as a formal dining room for frequent entertainers or as a private office or den.

Upstairs, the space is used efficiently and does not lose square footage to hallways. The stairs lead to a central bonus room, a warm family gathering space. To the front of the home, there are two large secondary bedrooms and an upstairs laundry room. The main bathroom is next to one of the bedrooms. The master bedroom runs across the back of the home. This room has the luxury of enough space for a sitting area as well as a king-sized bed. Next to the bedroom is a large walk-in closet. The master ensuite features dual rectangular vessel sinks atop a granite counter. There is plenty of storage in cabinets and drawers. The room features a separate shower and soaker tub.

The lower level is finished, bringing the total finished space to about 3,000-square feet, with a large recreation room offering alcoves and windows in strategic locations to provide cosy spaces for watching television and larger spaces for games. The main bathroom is situated between two rooms that could be used either as bedrooms or offices.
